Barcelona is seeking to strengthen its ranks with the best players in order to compete strongly for all titles in the new season after a disappointing season in which the Catalan team left empty-handed without any title.
Barcelona President Joan Laporta came out to confirm the club’s ability to conclude many strong and distinguished deals this summer and meet the needs of German coach Hansi Flick.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, Pep Guardiola, the Spanish coach of Manchester City, has offered Barcelona’s management the Portuguese star Bernardo Silva to join the Catalan club this summer in exchange for signing one of Barcelona’s most important stars.
The newspaper added that Manchester City aspires to exchange Bernardo Silva for Spanish star Pedro Gonzalez, in addition to paying a sum of money in order to complete the deal successfully.
The newspaper added that this offer was rejected by Barcelona’s management once and for all. Flick agreed to this deal, but instead of Barcelona getting Bernardo, the German coach wanted to get Manchester City’s number one star, Rodri, which was also rejected by City’s management.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona has signed its first summer deal by settling the deal for Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo from German club Leipzig.
