Flick led Barcelona to a 3-2 victory over Dortmund in the sixth round of the Champions League. The win pushed Barcelona to 15 points, securing second place, just behind Liverpool, who lead with 18 points. Dortmund, with 12 points, remained in ninth place. Barcelona still has two upcoming matches against Benfica and Atalanta.
According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Barcelona’s Spanish midfielder Pedri became involved in a heated argument with his teammate due to the latter’s subpar performances in recent games. The report stated that Pedri expressed his frustration with fellow Spaniard Balde, who was particularly disappointing in the Dortmund match. Pedri criticized Balde for failing to perform both defensively and offensively, accusing him of becoming complacent due to the lack of a strong alternative.
Pedri believes that Balde has started to play without putting in the effort to prove himself, which led to a verbal confrontation between the two. The situation escalated until senior team members intervened to separate them and diffuse the tension.
